Health Sciences
The Health Sciences academic area offers you alternatives that will allow you to build you knowledge base through multiple experiences that will bolster your academic, personal and professional life. We are recognized as an academic and community leader among universities in Puerto Rico in the fields of health promotion and disease prevention. Our students’ competency is recognized by recruiters in the island and abroad, which serves to prove the high-quality education you will receive and the many opportunities that will open for you in the health services industry.
We offer clinical experiences in different health scenarios that are combined with theory content that will allow you to develop the proficiencies required for your profession. You can choose from different academic programs, such as: Operating Room Technician, Respiratory Therapy, Speech Therapy and Pathology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Therapeutic Massage, Sonography, Pharmacy Technician, Radiology Technology, Public Health and Medical Emergencies.
The Nursing Department and the Allied Health Sciences division are within the Health Sciences academic area.
